Jim, Congratulations on another great Clark County bird, the only other record I know of was a road killed bird in Vancouver over thirty years ago. Wilson Cady

This morning, I was shocked to find a Common Poorwill on the dirt road leading up to Larch Mountain, Clark County, WA. First detected by its bright orange eye shine, I wasn't able to get very close but did see the fairly short horizontal body of the bird on the dirt road. It flushed several times but I was very able to refined it in the headlights due to the eye shine. Where will it go from here? You never know what you will find. Keep your ears and eyes skyward.
