Subject: [Tweeters] Snow Geese - Selah, Blue Jay update -- Yakima

At 4:40 this afternoon a flock of about 150 Snow Geese flew over our house
in Selah, Yakima County, heading SSE, towards Selah Gap. They're a new yard
bird for us and this is the largest group of them we've seen near Yakima.

Earlier this afternoon we went over to the neighborhood north of Randall
Park to see the Blue Jay. It was again in the same area. More people who
live around there told me about where they see it, noting specific trees
and paths it takes. One spoke of very nice photos her son took of it at her
feeder and on her railing. A couple described seeing it in a small maple
just outside their picture window in August, and in other trees in their
yard plenty of times since. That neighborhood is a pleasant one to walk
around with pretty good sight distance and little traffic.
