Hi All,

Today between the rain squall I decided to do some birding. It just so happened to warrant probably the best bird of the year for me in Lewis County and that is saying a lot because I have a phenomenal year in the County.
I had a juvenile male Redhead on Hillburger Pond in Chehalis. This not only is the first documention in Lewis on eBird but first sighting in the County in almost 15 years. The bird should hang around for a couple of days.

The area also was host to an immense number of doves. I lost count at 76 Eurasian Collared Doves and 11 Mourning Doves. They all took flight when a Coopers Hawk flew in though. Awesome sight to behold.
I have photos of the Redhead if people are interested.
