Hi Tweeters,
This morning (9/1/18) Houston Flores and I birded Alki Point from
7:30-9:30am with the following highlights:
1 Brown Pelican - Flying south through the middle of the sound towards
Vashon
2 Ruddy Turnstones - Still there
8-10 Parasitic Jaegers - Mostly south of the point
The jaeger show from here has been truly amazing over the last week. In the
late morning yesterday Adrian Lee and I counted 18. Most of the birds are
in the area between Alki Point, Restoration Point and the north end of
Vashon. It would be a great time to take a boat out.
We did not see the Lark Sparrow this morning.
Good birding,
Sam Terry
