I talked to Jon Houghton about this today and he suggested posting to tweeters. There have been a number of reports of Buff Breasted Sandpipers in Washington - Mouth of the Cedar, Hobuck Beach, Ocean Shores and Tsoo Yess Beach. This follows many sightings elsewhere along the Coast including 13 individuals in a field along Boundary Bay (I saw 6 there), several sightings in Oregon and numerous sightings in California.
Does anyone have a theory as to why and have there similar count in recent years? They seem to have been very rate the past couple of years in Washington.
