This morning I spent a couple of hours birding along the North and South
Beaches of Discovery Park near the West Point Lighthouse. Along the
South Beach there were approx. 70 CASPIAN TERNS, I don't recall seeing that
many at Discovery Park before. I also garnered a new Park bird in the form
of an AMERICAN PIPIT which was on the beach near the lighthouse, this
brought my Park list up to 158 species... There were also a pair of
OSPREY catching fish near the point, and I found a WARBLING VIREO in the
trees alongside the small pond on the North Beach (and plenty of
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS moving through the area)..

Cheers and Good Birding;
