Birded Wylie and Fir Island today. While at Fir Island, I scoped the fields and found many peeps along with the killdeer, Savannah sparrows, American pipits and a likely vesper sparrow. Most striking were a bold white eye ring and white outer tail feathers on the vesper.

At Wylie, a yellow warbler was foraging along the riparian edge across from the parking lot (near the boat launch). Many yellowlegs, dowitchers and a few snipes in the tule mats and logs. Black phoebe is still present.
