It was wonderful to return to the PNW land of moist/green/soft after two weeks in the arid/brown/prickly Arizona desert recently. But a fortnight rafting on the Grand Canyon is truly a life experience. Opportunities for bird photography were limited, but I did manage to capture a set to remind me of the sturdy avian population down there.

There was a warbler at Phantom Ranch (photos 2, 3, 4 in the set) that looked to me a whole lot like a Nashville, although Virginia's is more common there, so I assume it's probably a Virginia's. I've included three photos of the bird, two brightened up since it was way back in dark shrubs, and a third photo that has only been cropped, not brightened, for reference. What do you think?


A dark bird (here<https://www.flickr.com/photos/trileigh/43916686595/in/album-72157671328122067/> and here<https://www.flickr.com/photos/trileigh/43916689245/in/album-72157671328122067/>) looked a bit like a Cinnamon Teal, but obviously lighting, focus, and the particular camera weren't ideal - could be another teal.
