I have a Canon EOS 7D Mark II with a 70-400 zoom. I love it for all world travel. I have a homemade holster so it eases the weight on my shoulder.Sherry HagenVancouver, WAlittlebirder at comcast.net Verizon, Samsung Galaxy S9+

Heavy, which makes for problems on some trips like Africa. But, that setup is my camera and binos. It's how I spot birds and ID them most often. For Christmas I got an Olympus Tough that is primarily for snorkeling. But, it has done wonderful settings and process quality sunsets and scenery. But, in order to get great detail pictures of animals I think you'll need a big lens.Hal MichaelScience Outreach Director, Sustainable Fisheries FoundationOlympia WA360-459-4005360-791-7702 (C)ucd880 at comcast.netOn April 2, 2019 at 9:26 PM Beth Thompson <calliopehb at comcast.net> wrote: Hey Tweets, wondered what you would recommend for a good easy to carry camera for travel. I have a Lumix 25-600 which does okay but for multiple shots is slow. I also have a Canon EOS Rebel T2i with lots of lenses but it is cumbersome. It does great but I'm thinking lighter weight would be better for travel but need something with good quality for shooting birds and such.My best regards,Happily birdingBeth ThompsonArlington WAThanks iSent from my Verizon Motorola Smartphone_______________________________________________ Tweeters mailing list Tweeters at u.washington.edu http://mailman11.u.washington.edu/mailman/listinfo/tweeters
