For the second weekend in a row I observed a pair of large accipiters up high over Ballard (just saw this a half hour ago). Flying together, than apart. Slow wingbeats, dead flat dihedral, and no apparent white butt. Definitely bigger than Coopers and a much slower beats. Looking at some youtube videos, not as flappy as harrier at height. Neither time was I able to get a scope on them - just some good Nikon compacts each time. Probably 500 feet up or so and a little less than a mile away.
Would Goshawks be out of the question?
