I birded the Cameron Lakes Road today. The Long-tailed Duck I saw was a female molting into breeding plumage. If you take the road from south to north, the lake it was on is about 12.8 miles in. It is just north of the T-intersection with Greenaway Road and it is on the west side of Cameron Lakes Road. You need a scope to see the waterfowl on this lake. It might be a bird of interest for anyone planning to bird in the vicinity this weekend, assuming it sticks around.
