We spent ten days In Kearney for the Sandhill Cranes. Despite the incredible snow cold and ice followed by warm rain and floods, there were record numbers of sandhill cranes, 650,000 counted our second week there. We had reserved two nights, one evening, and two morning in s bird hides with the Rowe Sanctuary. Roads were incredibly bad from all the round and what visits we made to the sanctuary were very stressful as our Hertz rental vehicle was a Nissan sedan. We never made it to our second over night or our two morning events as the roads were to hazardous. We did get good views from the Highway 10 bridge. I suggest anyone making the pilgrimage drive a four wheel SUV.

Below is a link to a few of our pictures from a most wonderful visit.
