Subject: [Tweeters] Battle Ground, Clark County Swainson's Hawk

All,

I took a break from pulling the infernal dandelions from the yard and
looked up instead. Glad I did since it was raptor migration day in my
neighborhood. From 11:45-1, I had the following:

Turkey Vulture 7 (1 kettle)
SWAINSON'S HAWK: 1 (pale morph with TV kettle). Marks noted included white
below, dark chest, pointed wings, slimmer in all respects than TV or
Red-tailed Hawk and it flew with a dihedral.
Osprey: 1
Cooper's Hawk: 2
Sharp-shinned Hawk: 1
Red-tailed Hawk: 4 (2 migrants and 2 locals)
Bald Eagle: 3

Keep your eyes and ears skyward!

Jim
