Hi Tweets...The biologists are out counting shorebirds at the refuge in
preparation for the Grays Harbor Shorebird and Nature Festival crowds.
Here are the totals from Monday, 4/22.
The weather was pretty
wet with a marine layer that made viewing minimoon difficult. Winds
were moderate and temps were in the high forties.
Survey included
42 Black-bellied Plovers
250 Semipalmated Plovers
6500 Dunlin
6500 WESA
2 LESA
15 dowitchers
8 Sandhill cranes

Ocean Shores
