Today at Wallace Swamp Creek Park in Kenmore I observed 3 birds excavating a nest cavity. 2 Hairy woodpeckers and a BC chickadee. The chickadee often sat on a nearby branch waiting for the woodpeckers to carry out a load of sawdust then went in for his own load.. Pictures are on my ebird report https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S55493541 The only picture I got of the chickadee only shows tail feathers inside the hole.
