Shortly after 7 this morning, a Ruddy Turnstone flew in and landed briefly on the rocks at West Point with a single Black Turnstone. They flew off northwest after a minute or two. In my later conversation with a nearby fisherman, he asked what those black-and-white patterned shorebirds had been, and said about eight had visited the rocks even earlier, before I'd arrived.
