We went to Spencer Island - for the first and probably last time. It took 2
hours to come up with the only raptor- a perched Red tailed hawk. A half
hour later we were out of there. However, if you are at the historic bridge
and take the dirt - gravel path and turn left on the side path and go a few
yards - look to your right rear. I think this is Japanese knot weed; an
invader. Also, from the historic bridge- take the black top path around a
bend or two. There is the sunken ship and a picnic table and some park
benches. In the channel is a piling with a sign - City ( or port)of
Everett-No trespassing. Look on the bank behind the warning- there you will
see the trespassers- some more clumps of Japanese Knot Weed. Nelson Briefer
