Marauding Cat Destroys Colony Of Threatened Australian Seabirds
hello everyone,

This probably doesn't come as a surprise to some of you, but I found it
deeply worrying to learn that one free-roaming semi-feral cat appears to
have destroyed an entire sanctuary for threatened seabirds, the fairy tern,
in the southwestern part of Australia. Added to this is the fact that
Australia is home to millions -- literally *millions* -- of feral,
semi-feral and free-roaming cats.

I've got a few more stories along these lines coming up in the next couple
weeks, so be sure to keep your eyes open for those.
