Hi, Tweets,

You already have the report from Lake Sammamish S. P. and the south side of Alki. I did see a Bank Swallow among the Barns at Lake Sammamish S. P. I'll add I also had a Sanderling and six Killdeer on that Alki beach this afternoon (and no Spotted Sandpipers). Five Harlequin Ducks were hauled out on the rock spit to the east until some xxxx decided he needed to take phone pictures from the end farthest out into the water. So no rocky shorebirds out on that, either. With the low tide, humans -- and their dogs -- were all over the rocks and below them on the north side of Alki, so no rock-favoring shorebirds there, either.

Kellogg Island (from T-107) had Killdeer, Leasts, and Western Sandpipers. I did record some Caspian Tern color bands, which I'll submit to the banding lab. Purple Martin babies are hanging out in their nest entrances.

The 200th Street bridge in the Kent Valley was calm, with only Spotted Sandpipers for shorebirds this afternoon.
