Hi tweeters,

This morning there was an adult Ruddy Turnstone on the south beach at Alki.
It was with a flock of shorebirds roosting at the south end of the beach
close to the rocks. The flock flushed shortly after I got on it and flew
north. Most of the birds that had been roosting were scattered up the beach
but I wasn't able to re-find the ruddy, I think it went around the point to
the north.

The flock included: 3 Semipalmated Plovers, 12 Killdeer, 8 Black
Turnstones, 2 Sanderlings, 1 Western Sandpiper, 1 Semipalmated Sandpiper,
and 5 Least Sandpipers.
