My brother and I spent the past three nights at Jackman Park Campground at the Steens Mountain foothills. Many feeding flocks of sparrows and warblers at mid-elevation and sometimes dozens of raptors at the summit. Missed Black Rosy-finch despite several tries but highlights...TENNESSEE WARBLER in a mixed flock at the Jackman Park entrance, BROAD-WINGED HAWK near the Big Willow at Roaring Springs Ranch and DICKCISSEL feeding with sparrows about a half mile up the road from Jackman Park.
