I thought that yesterday's migration was a great at our place on Mt. Pleasant in Skamania County but this morning's movement was even better. Starting from when I went out to the deck at about 7am there was a continuously changing mixed flock of warblers, Warbling Vireos and flycatchers over a three hour period. There were at least a dozen Black-throated Gray Warblers in view during the entire period and as the other species of warblers were only present for a few minutes at a time I think it is fair to assume that there may have been double or more than the 56 Black-throated Grays that I entered into eBird. Other warblers seen included Orange-crowned, Yellow, Townsend's, Hermit and Wilson's. I love the days when there are so many birds in front of you that you can't look at them all. While we were enjoying the birds Jim Danzenbaker called from Larch Mountain which is about eight miles north of us and 700" higher where he was experiencing the same type of migration event.
