I saw a male red-shafted jnter-grade flicker at our suet feeder a day or two ago. It had the tell tale red chevron on its nape. We seem to have a lot of inter-grade flickers in Edmonds or I am photographing the same bird several times.
I also saw a male pileated pounding away on one of our backyard habitat trees. It is probably a denizen of nearby Pine Ridge Park.
