Many birders braved miserable weather for the Rustic Bunting at Cape Disappointment SP this morning, and were rewarded. Bird seems to stay with the largest of several junco flocks (about 25 birds) that wander around the camping area.
From 9:15-10:45, flock moved from front yard of yurt 80 to campsite 86-87, with two or three stops in straight line between. Sometimes with a large flock of CB Chickadees, nuthatches and more Townsend's Warblers than you can believe, sometimes not.
If you go, please dig up those old two-way radios to share info with other birders (remember the traditional birders' frequency 11/22?) as cell phones are useless there.
