Hi Tweets - It was cool (12 to 17 degrees), partly foggy, and not very birdy in the Highlands today. Among the disappointments: no Chukar at Fancher Rd; only heard Ravens at the Havillah SnoPark; no Gray Partridge, Owls, Crossbills, Redpolls, anywhere. A single waxwing on our descent down Siwash Rd, and it was conventional, not Bohemian. Oh, and the Nealy Rd feeders, though loaded, were only being visited by a Downy and one Mountain Chickadee!?? On the other hand, we set new personal bests for numbers of Rough-legged Hawks and Golden Eagles and the scenery was sublime as always with everything flocked by the freezing fog.
