Tweets!

I am planning a UK trip back home sometime in April-May 2020. My base is
East Sussex - just south of London.

Dungeness RSPB is only 30 miles away from my Mum's house. I would really
like to hear from folks who have birded the UK. Info on the best hotspots,
best birds, and any personal experience of peak migration dates for
southern and eastern UK, as well as your favorite online resources for
birding the UK.

Second, a dear friend of mine has a severe illness characterised by severe
muscle weakness and pain that has rendered her immobile most days. She
would like to see her backyard birds better (and ID them) using optics. She
would need a small scope and tripod (with head/mount). The scope would need
to be straight not angled, since she cannot hold binoculars for very long,
nor can she look down into an angled scope. I started a small gofundme to
purchase this for her. Birding can really bring people in chronic pain out
of their suffering, and give them so much joy, and my friend really loves
birds and nature.

Do you have an old scope or a light tripod or tripod head in good working
condition that you can donate or sell for cheap. If you do, please get in
touch: drisseq.n at gmail.com

For the record, I just want to say how grateful I am to have access to such
a wise and generous birding community.

A toast to PNW birders, to the Robin and the Wren, and to longer days!
Nadine
