What a great way to start the year! I had four alcid species in the south
sound this morning as follows:
Common Murre - Single ,close off the front of Dash Point Dock
Rhinoceros Auklet - Two each at Dash Point Dock and Browns Point
Pigeon Guillemot - Pair at Browns Point
Marbled Murrelet - Pair at Browns Point
Also noteworthy at Browns Point were a Hermit Thrush and a Orange-crowned
Warbler.
Good Birding!
