My last bird of 2018 was a young red-tailed hawk on the way to West Seattle.

My first birds of 2019 were:

Absolutely zip on the first day of the year. Did not even hear one bird.
Possibly since we're in unincorporated King County and the fireworks
were loud at midnight.

1/2/2019

2 robins (near Ames Lake)
2 crows (flying over 520 W/B just past Microsoft
2 crows (foraging near 520 and 405)
juvenile bald eagle on Mercer Island

Barred owls calling after dark, near Ames Lake
And "caterwauling".
