Dear Tweeters,
Thanks to one and all who wrote back with various information about "what preys on Snowy Owls!" I think I will have enough forwarded messages going out to totally blow up the in-box of the student's third-grade teacher. That will be fun to hear him groaning on Monday morning!
Thus far, I am hearing about wolves, Peregrines, jaegers, foxes, and eagles, oh, yeah, plus bears and wolves.
I still wonder if humans would have bothered trying for a Snowy Owl egg omelet. On second thought, it seems like killing a seal would be a lot more economical than trudging around trying to gather a few eggs.
