The very best birding site in Tucson is the Sweetwater sewage plant, just off I-10, a couple blocks north of Prince.

Mt Lemmon can take a lot of time. Madeira can too, but it is worth it.

The best place in Sierra Vista is San Pedro House. Ramsey canyon hasn't been very productive since a big fire. And don't miss the Paton's in Patagonia, AZ for hummers, etc. When I drive from Tucson to S-V, Patagonia is on the way.

I'll be in the Tucson area in late April. Will primarily be in the Sierra Vista area birding with friends, but have 2 half-days to bird on my own near Tucson. Any recommendations for can't miss spots?
