Bird remained on same "hunters duck blind" for the entire afternoon,
evening.

Official sunset 1651.

1713- left wing stretch.
1714- right wing stretch.
1719- changes position on blind.
1728-first flight, 37 minutes after sunset.
Pretty dark in scope.

Thanks to Nancy Crowley for the heads up.

Is it purely coincidental that this owl suddenly appears in the same area
as all the Short-eared Owls are being seen over the last two weeks?

Past experience with Snowies on Samish has shown that they will hunt
Short-ears.

Let's see what happens this year.
