A few weeks ago, I saw and got a pic of a barred owl standing in our most popular birdbath. Today I glanced out and saw a large hawk standing there in the bath. Didn't get a pic in time... but it had an unmistakably fully orangey red breast. It leapt from the bath to a large rock amidst the shrubs, then flew off into the trees. Could it have been a red-shouldered hawk?
