Hello,
I've finally been able to ID the salamanders that are growing and feeding
at the surface as Long Toed Salamander. Ones larger and many I see are as
long or longer as my pinky finger. There are still smaller ones but they
are appearing to be the same breed. The Newt looking character hasn't been
seen for a few days. But it was larger than any Salamanders, and seemed
easily spooked by my shadow.
So, for now, that's what I have. If anything else pops up, I'll let you
know.
Happy Birding,
