For many years we've had a red tailed hawk family growing up and training in the ravine behind us. The Momma will tell the "little" ones to go out and find food to share. They all call out to each other, globally positioning themselves so Momma is always staying nearby to return to. They fly around the ravine and our yards calling to each other and sometimes they land on our deck railing or the roof of our pavilion. But this morning I found one of them in our three tiered fountain by front steps. Too cool. They are so huge, the babies, along with the Momma.
