Hello all,

Cold rainy morning so waited until afternoon to go for a walk - headed
over to the Fort Walla Walla Park Natural Area where Yellow-breasted
Chats are always vocal and displaying this time of year along with
Lazuli Buntings. MerryLynn spotted an ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER in the SE
corner - 3rd sighting in the county but the first documented - ML had
one in our yard last year on June 24. This was a county lifer for Mike!

One was photographed on Bateman Island in the Tricities on June 14.

Been looking for these birds up the canyons for years with no luck.
Someday a pair will find habitat they like here -

Good birding, ML
