Wondering about how common this is in our neck of the woods? A friend (a non-birder) north of here in Mt. Vernon sent a very poor image thinking it was a Western Bluebird, but when I sent a photo of the Western/CA Scrub jay she said that photo I sent was exact.

Would this be considered a rare sighting? I know I certainly have never had one in my garden.
