Similar experience with Townsend's warbler.  Had a male visit all last winter, only at suet feeder.  This year, since the snow, the female is also visiting, and they are about 80% suet; 20% seed feeder.  One of them even visited the hummingbird feeder, perhaps catching drips or just curious.

I have a male Townsend's Warbler that spends much of the winter (for the past 3 or 4 years) at my suet feeders. The difference for me is that this year, with all of the snow a few weeks ago, he started visiting my seed feeders also (mixed seeds and nut bits).
And, as reported by many birders earlier, I have had Varied Thrushes visiting my suet for the first time ever this year -- again starting with the abundance of snow inmy yard.
In this same vein, I have also had Spotted Towhees visiting my seed feeders, rather than simply scarfing up fallen seeds on the ground underneath the feeders, as has been their typical behavior in the past. One snow-filled day, I even had 6 Towhees at the same time commandeering ALL feeders in a well-executed game plan.

Subject: [Tweeters] Townsend's Warblers at feeders? Tweets -; we've had a gorgeous male Townsend's Warbler coming to our feeders daily for this entire winter.  He visits many times a day, eating suet and also eating sunflower chips and possibly some niger thistle (I was using a mix of fine sunflower chips and thistle, so it's hard to know which he preferred).   Has anyone else experienced this kind of behavior with a Townsend's Warbler?  It seems strange to have one so dedicated to feeders. == Michael Hobbs
