Greetings to all,
A number of years ago I pondered to great lengths over an odd looking Mallard in Tacoma. I posted pictures to my Flicker page and a gentleman from Europe mentioned aging ducks changing hormones and taking on the traits of the opposite sex.
Here are photos in a blog I posted back then. I guess the give away is the bill. The bill color did not seem to have change while the feathers did.
