Spent the day birding Whatcom county and Semiahmoo Spit. Driving the Grandview rd opposite the Cherry Point refinery entrance a very white bird caught my eye in the fields opposite the refinery. Pulling over I thought it was a full of some kind but to my surprise it was a Red tail Hawk with large amounts of white in its plumage. The faint  belly band could be seen. After my walk at Semiahmoo I returned to see if I could find the Hawk again. Even  better. It was flying with another Red tail Hawk.  So to have them side by side gave me great comparisons. Weather was glorious and also ran into the Seattle Audubon on maneuvers. Hopefully they saw it Mark Girling
Woodridge.
