An amazing Woman.. her and her husband. She will be missed.. thank you for this, I had not heard she had passed.. however been 35 years since I've seen her.. she gave a lasting great impression of the time we worked together. ❤️ Even till now, influenced the way I decorate my house.. it's interesting with a wide range of things.. so everyone is entertained 🙂

I am told that she was in large part responsible for the creation of the NIsqually National Wildlife Refuge. That is truly a remarkable legacy to leave, one I benefit from on a weekly basis.

I do not read tweeters every day so am just catching up with the last week plus and have seen no mention of Helen Engle's passing Monday March 11. She was very involved in WA Audubon and the Mountaineers among other things. She was my sister-in-law Heidi Engle's mother and my brother Rob's mother-in-law and my 2 niece's grandmother. She was an amazing woman and I consider myself honored to have been considered a friend by her. She will be missed.
