Hi Tweets,

spring is on the way at Nisqually NWR with nesting BALD EAGLE x two
breeding pair. We had a nice day with chilly temperatures and a high tide
at 10:20am. Highlights included 5 different species of woodpeckers with
FOY PILEATED WOODPECKER, four WILSON'S SNIPE, many TREE SWALLOW and
VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOW, FOY GREAT EGRET and relocating the intergrade
GREEN-WINGED TEAL with both a horizontal white bar between the wing and
side as well a diminished vertical white bar between the breast and side.
We were not able to relocate the Barn Owl or Sandhill Cranes that were
previously reported.

69 species for the day, 94 species for the year. Many good mammals seen
including American Beaver, Coyote, Mink and California Sea Lion. See eBird
