Subject: [Tweeters] Fir Island today

I took a friend up to Fir Island today to look for SNOW GEESE. We didn't
see any geese on Norman Rd near Stanwood, but, at about 3pm, we found a
flock of what must have been 10,000 geese at the northeast corner of the
intersection of Fir Island Rd and Wylie Rd. We saw one BLUE GOOSE among
them. The flock was flushed three times by eagles, one of which was a
juvenile GOLDEN EAGLE. We also saw one VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOW fly over the
field, the first I have seen this spring.
