Today, Les Carlson, Barry Woodruff and I did a day of birding in Skamania County. We found 3 SAY'S PHOEBES, 2 AMERICAN PIPITS and a LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE on Strawberry Island below Bonneville Dam. We found a second LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE in Stevenson along the railroad track by the Steamboat Landing, the last shrike I had in Skamania County was in 1985. At the Spring Creek Fish Hatchery we spotted a COMMON LOON and our fourth SAY'S PHOEBE of the day. Wilson Cady
