The Ruff was at Crockett's Lake this afternoon at 2:45. Try the southeast corner where the peeps hang out. The birds were very restless.
Now for the apologies: I was under intense pressure to get back to my job and felt I was abrupt toward Ann Marie Wood and the gentleman who let me look through his scope( I've dropped your name). I didn't properly thank the latter. I hope to deliver these apologies in person some day!!
For the record:
Semi-palmated Plovers- a handful
Western Sandpipers- a few dozen
Least Sandpipers- 2 that flew north while the flocks were trending west
Dunlin- 6 or 7
Ruff- 1
Thanks to Dave Parent and Sarah Schmidt for sending the word out about the bird.
