I had a great and fun day of birding at John Heinz NWR in Philadelphia today. Got my 50 plus species with the last (Variety #57) being a Black Billed Cuckoo. A rarity for the refuge, it was only the third one I had ever seen with the other two being more than 40 years ago. And more important I also got a pretty good photo - a lifer photo - #698 in the ABA area. Two more should be ahead with other stops on this marathon trip.
I have not done blog posts for my other states on this trip, but was able to do one this time. Try
