Gary Bletsch reminded me that it is not actually necessary to stay at
Bellavista Lodge overnight to enjoy the use of their guides and property.
Many visitors come up from Quito just for the day to go on the guided walks
and excursions. That would be great if you are just passing through, or if
you have a long layover in Quito. The driver can take you all the way to
the airport to catch your flight home.
