Dear Tweeters,
At Hayton Reserve (on Fir Island) today, the 23rd of May, I tried to relocate the Black-necked Stilts that were found there yesterday by Neil O'Hara. I could not found them, but shortly after Mike Nelson arrived, Mike noticed a goodly flock of Ring-billed Gulls. Amongst them were two FRANKLIN'S GULLS! The gulls wheeled about for a few minutes, then seemed to disappear.
The shorebirds present were three Black-bellied Plovers, three Semipalmated Plovers, five or more Killdeers, and two Short-billed Dowitchers.
