I birded Eastern Wa. from Thursday afternoon to Saturday. Awesome trip. Great birds and very interesting people. I finished the trip at the NF-230 burn site. I saw 3 Black-backs. There has been a lot of salvaging/logging at the burn.
But many snags have been left behind. It actually may be easier to locate the woodpeckers this year.
