No....it's not a spotted towhee. Towhees don't build nests on top of
man-made structures, and my friend is very familiar with towhees.

When I looked online I came across a lot of photos and showed them to her.
She picked out one of the birds with darker orange shoulders, so the towhee
thought was apt....just not the right bird.

We appreciate the thoughts though.

It's a puzzler.
