Yesterday (10.09.19) there was a SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPER with a PECTORAL SANDPIPER at Hayton Reserve on Fir Island. This was at about 2:30PM, a couple of hours before high tide. The 2 birds flew to the east, over the main pond. I didn't see them land.

Later, I phoned Gary Bletsch to tell him of the sharp-tailed and he told me of the 4 SANDHILL CRANES he was currently viewing in a corn field east of Wylie Rd. We rendezvoused there, enjoyed the cranes, then headed to the Game Range.

In short order, Gary spotted two pectoral-like birds on a floating log in the main pond, one of which turned out to be the/a SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPER.
